The Muslim Council of Nova Scotia (MCNS) is a federally registered charitable organization serving the Muslim community in Nova Scotia. MCNS is the owner and operator of Sayyidna Usman-e-Ghani Islamic Centre, the first mosque and Islamic community centre established in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Sayyidna Usman-e-Ghani Islamic Centre (Amherst Masjid) is the centre of Muslim unity in the GTA where Muslims of different background, traditions and denominations come together to promote peace and harmony among all Muslims.
